Costa Rica has been a very popular tourist destination location for years, but you won't see well-dressed and well manicured international highrolling travelers in most of the country. Instead, you'll see backpacks, jeeps and a younger demographic of visitor than you might expect. Costa Rica is a wildly popular location for those hoping to experience the back to nature quality of life in the Costa Rica jungle and undeveloped areas, basically a new frontier for nature lovers to experience without the interference of any type of modern trappings to get in the way of nature's perfect bounty. This popularity has brought in more and more tourists to the Costa Rica area, seeking this experience of getting closer to nature and camping in wilderness locations such as the Costa Rica rain forest. While this type of destination as a vacation resort location might not be ideal for every traveler, especially to those who prefer the everyday comfort of running water and other amenities of home, there is an overwhelming demand for the Costa Rica vacation that doesn't include any type of hotels or other upscale appointments.
Sacrificing the comforts and luxuries of the upscale hotels available to most tourists and vacationers, backpackers and those who prefer to rough it have come in swarms to the Costa Rica area to experience life as it must have been in the early days of mankind's existence on the planet. Strangely enough, this concept of becoming a wilderness location destination for international travelers looking for a way to get back to the traditions of the past and the concept of camping in pure, unspoiled wilderness has brought Costa Rica a tremendous amount of new tourism and vacationing dollars, as travelers look to the available package tours and adventure packages that are available in the Costa Rica area for very little cash outlay. The reduced cost of services and products in the area are also a great attraction for so many visitors, who are interested in seeing the world up close for as little as possible. Very few locations in the world allow a human being to get back to nature in such a complete and uncompromising way as the Costa Rica rain forest and wilderness locations.
Costa Rica is truly the last vestige of frontier in the world as we know it, and international visitors from around the world make it their destination every year for their getting back to nature vacation.
