Costa Rica-the New Frontier?

In American culture, there are very few icons that rate as highly as the American cowboy. The period of time in which the pioneers and Texas Rangers rode the plains holds a special place in the hearts of Americans as well as a large part of the rest of the world. The ability to jump on a horse, ride the range and live from the saddle while using a rope and a rifle to provide your living no longer exists in America in the modern day. There are no areas that can simply be ridden and hunted, as government territorial laws forbid this type of behavior and existence in most areas. Many would argue that with all the conveniences of the modern day, very few would wish to return to this type of lifestyle, as it would mean giving up all manner of conveniences such as air conditioning, cold and hot running water and prepared foods.

But in Costa Rica, the frontier still exists. Pioneers can enjoy hiking, backpacking and wilderness camping all throughout the unexplored and undeveloped regions of Costa Rica's wilderness areas without interference from anyone. This lush and undeveloped region is as close to the frontier as many will ever come. Planning the Costa Rica adventure doesn't take much, as all the supplies and tools that you will need can be found in the coastal cities upon arriving in the area.

After visiting Costa Rica and seeing the wealth of pristine and undisturbed flora and fauna, users will no doubt wish to plan more Costa Rica adventures in the future, or possibly even invest in some Costa Rica real estate, which can be had for nearly a fraction of what similar properties would cost in the United States and other locations around the world. Due to these low prices and extreme seclusion, Costa Rica has recently become a tourist and travel destination for many who seek to enjoy a Costa Rica adventure away from the everyday hustle and bustle of the rat race.

This sudden interest in Costa Rica has created a boom in Costa Rica real estate sales, as property buyers and investors come from all around to grab up available Costa Rica real estate. Prime Costa Rica real estate locations still exist all along the coastal region, making the area a perfect spot for real estate investors to stake their claims.

Ancient religions depicted images of the God of Fire, the deity of the Guatuso Indians, the aboriginal tribe that existed in the area since before history reports.

Lava flows very in the area have been identified somewhat tentatively as dating to around 1500 A.D., which is assumed to be the date of the last major eruption for the Arenal Volcano in history.

The nearby Chato Volcano, the smaller of the two Costa Rica volcano brothers, is located to the southeast of the Arenal Volcano and is actually older than its larger sibling. The last recorded volcanic activity for the Chato Volcano dates back nearly 3500 years, which was right around the time that the Arenal Volcano was first being formed. The hollowed out top of the Chato Volcano features a lake inside and a crater featuring perfect scenery and stunning surroundings for the Coast Arica tourist.
